Supplier qualification audits (second-party audits) are systematic evaluations performed by a company on its suppliers to optimise the management and control of the supply chain. This type of audit is essential to guarantee that suppliers comply with given requirements, and to ensure that the materials or services supplied comply with the necessary technical specifications and quality standards.

Technical Supply Procedure
Document containing the conformity requirements requested of the suppliers by the customer as a guarantee of the product supply chain.

Verification of the suppliers’ ability to guarantee the production and quality standards defined by the customer through pre-assessment questionnaires and field audits.

Suppliers are audited periodically on the basis of the results of the preceding audit in order to ensure that the qualification of product suppliers is maintained over time.
