Social Accountability
Alongside business development, which remains the core focus of any company's mission, it is increasingly evident that companies are committed to improving their sustainability performance, with this pervading all corporate processes.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) refers to "the voluntary integration by companies of social and environmental concerns in their operations" (Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Policies).
This approach includes ethically responsible business conduct and the creation of long-lasting employment including through a new model of corporate governance, which must look at human and social capital and local communities as a form of sustainable investment. This also includes the topics of gender equality, diversity, inclusion and the reduction of inequality which also form part of the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (Goals 5 and 10).
From this standpoint, Pegaso Management acts as a partner of reference for companies wishing to make concrete their desire to effectively manage issues with social and ethical impacts internally and in their sectors of reference. We support and guide them in the implementation and subsequent maintenance of internationally recognised standards such as:
-
Standard SA8000: Social Accountability
SA8000 is an international certification standard for corporate social responsibility and is the first certifiable standard relating to the protection of worker rights. It is designed to improve working conditions and promote ethical practices along the global supply chain.
-
